- ➤ William Joseph Crisis Nursery bought a building at 911 Leawood Drive to open an emergency shelter for children ages 0-5 in fall. An open house is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Feb. 20 as renovations prepare the space for families. The State Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ayla Tolentino from Bondurant Middle School was named WesBanco Student of the Week after her plant systems project placed in the national top 10 at the FFA Agriscience Fair. She was recognized by the Kentucky State Senate plus Franklin County Schools and plans to launch her next agriscience project soon. The State Journal
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The KDPH issued a measles advisory after an unvaccinated out-of-state traveler stayed at Holiday Inn and Suites in Dry Ridge and visited Ark Encounter (Dec. 29) in Grant County. Health officials advise residents to check their immunization records. Kentucky Today
