- ➤ The center will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Day and offer a busy schedule Tuesday through Friday with activities including billiards, ring toss, sign language, knitting, exercise, prayer, Tai Chi, cornhole with local scam advice, a Polar-Express food drive and game day for all ages. - ➤ The Paul Sawyier Public Library will be closed Monday for MLK Day and hosts a busy week with Tuesday’s Let’s Talk About It discussion (5:30 p.m.), Wednesday’s PokéClub and book group, Thursday’s beginner internet class and art clubs, and Saturday’s Shadow Art at 11 a.m. at the library. - ➤ Frankfort’s boys basketball team rallied from a 33-18 halftime deficit to win 69-61 over Western Hills at WHHS on Saturday, Jan. 17. Coach Derek Robinson said the Panthers earned their first victory over Western Hills since 2021 with strong play led by Rajon Floyd’s 26 points. The State Journal
- ➤ Western Hills girls basketball team improved its district record to 2 to 1 with a 67 to 9 win against Frankfort on Friday at WHHS, with Sakota Wilder scoring 13 points to drive their strong performance. The State Journal
