EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky students can apply for state-sponsored scholarships in engineering, construction management, and civil engineering technology that include summer employment with KYTC and a work commitment (up to $59,200 per year); applicants must apply by Feb. 1 with winners notified in April. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials confirmed a measles case in Jessamine County in a child under five, linked to exposure from an unvaccinated visitor in Hamburg earlier this week. The county health department advises those exposed to call their doctor if symptoms appear and recommends two MMR doses for protection. Louisville Public Media
- ➤ In 2025, over 75,000 Kentuckians joined the state’s donor registry, raising more than $1.7 million to support transplant assistance. Donate Life Kentucky Trust will offer 24/7 donation information today to help guide patients and donor families. The State Journal
