Dr. Kilen Gray, a KSU graduate and longtime community leader, gave the keynote at Sunday’s MLK Jr. Community Celebration at First Christian Church, recalling his experience hearing MLK’s name as a child + urging locals to stand up against injustice; local clergy and officials supported his call for unity.  The State Journal

  • Kentucky Proud is hosting a one-day Retail Readiness workshop on March 31 in Lexington to help ag producers build marketing plans for wider market access. SPORTS NEWS

  • Local high schools and colleges have a busy sports schedule this week. Boys and girls basketball, wrestling, and bowling contests are set from Friday to next Tuesday—including Franklin County hosting Frankfort and local teams facing off in college doubleheaders—as community fans can enjoy vibrant athletic action.  The State Journal
  • Kentucky star Jayden Quaintance will miss today's home game against Texas due to knee swelling from his torn ACL. Coach Mark Pope said he remains optimistic about his recovery after the player missed his fourth straight game since Jan. 7 against Missouri.  WTVQ
  • Franklin County senior Coen Taylor was named Traditional Bank Fall Sports Athlete of the Year after his strong play helped the Flyers reach the state championship game. He broke his arm in the semifinal but plans to continue his football career in college.  The State Journal
