- ➤ AAA Blue Grass advised drivers today on staying safe on icy roads by recommending methods such as using commercial deicer on frozen doors and defrosters for windshields (to avoid damage) while urging caution and maintaining an emergency car kit. WKYT
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky Power filed a motion with the Public Service Commission to permit an interim rate hike if a decision is not reached by March 1. The utility seeks a 12% increase (instead of the originally proposed 15%) with refunds due if final rates are lower. WKYT

- ➤ Young hockey players practiced outdoors on ice today in Central Kentucky while fire crews urged residents to check ice thickness and avoid frozen lakes and ponds (safety measures are in place) for caution. WKYT
