- ➤ The Rolling Bluegrass Chapter of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth will host a friendraiser (free event) on Saturday at the Kentucky Coffeetree Café in Frankfort, featuring music by Zoë Zamora and member testimonies on ways to join local action. The State Journal
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Madelyn Mulder of Frankfort was named to Marshall University’s Dean’s List for Fall 2025 after earning a 3.3 GPA for 12 credit hours. The State Journal
- ➤ A Kentucky State University student said her dorm has lacked heat since Friday due to a winter storm that brought below-freezing temperatures and burst pipes, forcing students to move belongings to another dorm. School officials have yet to respond to the complaints. WKYT

- ➤ The U.S. 60 Water District is upgrading the Waddy area's water system to improve reliability and efficiency for customers, with construction starting early February and work done in phases to limit outages. The State Journal
- ➤ Attorney General Russell Coleman reminds Kentuckians that his price-gouging hotline remains open during the winter storm state of emergency; since Friday, his office received 74 calls about fuel, including gasoline, kerosene + propane. Kentucky Today
