  • The Capital City Activity Center offers a full schedule this week with programs like billiards, exercise sessions, bingo and tai chi for residents. Events run daily from Monday through Friday at the center for meals on wheels and community activities.  The State Journal

CULTURE NEWS

  • Kentucky Resurrection Fest ’26 will take place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at Memories Event Venue, 811 Louisville Road — featuring rock, metal and rap artists with free entry and a suggested $10 donation. It promises a night of live music, community, and faith.  The State Journal
  • The Frankfort Civil War Rountable will be held on Monday, Mar. 2 at 6:30 p.m. in the River Room at the Paul Sawyier Public Library to discuss slavery at Henry Clay’s home, Ashland — Eric Brooks will explain how exhibits, programs and tours now highlight the lives of the enslaved.  The State Journal

  • A local gardening columnist advises residents to order seeds and begin planting based on zodiac signs and moon phases, noting that early plowing in February may work despite wet conditions and reminding everyone about the switch to Daylight Saving Time on March 8.  The State Journal
