Kentucky’s turkey season will begin on April 5 with a youth-only period and continue with a general season from April 12 to May 4—officials say surveys show many young birds which could help new hunters catch their first turkey.
Kentucky men’s basketball, seeded third, will start the NCAA Tournament on March 21 by playing Troy in Milwaukee (coach Mark Pope aims for his first win in the Big Dance) as the team looks for its first round win since 2023.
The women’s team, seeded fourth, will host the first two rounds against Liberty under first-year coach Kenny Brooks.
Mark Pope and the UK men’s basketball team finished with a 22—11 record and got a three-seed in the NCAA Tournament; they will play Troy on Friday, March 21 in Milwaukee.
