  • The Spirit of Columbia Awards ceremony will take place on Apr. 2 at 1:00 p.m. (CT) and will recognize local contributions to community culture. Further details about the event are expected to be announced soon.  92.7 The Wave

ECONOMY NEWS

  • GasBuddy data shows the national gas average is nearly $4 per gallon while Kentucky regular gas averages $3.74 and diesel $5.03 as of Monday midday. Analyst Patrick De Haan warns that supply constraints in the Strait of Hormuz may push fuel prices higher (watch fuel costs closely).  Kentucky Today

  • Teen Ethan Branscum has spent seven years working to have rescue cats and dogs named as official state pets of Kentucky. His bill (attached to another pet law) awaits a vote before April 2 as he also helps local unhoused pet owners get supplies.  LINK nky
