GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Senate Bill 5 passed unanimously to ease restrictions for child nutrition programs to source local produce directly from farmers. Governor Beshear signed the bill, and local schools may see restored partnerships even though it does not include specific funding (this step builds on efforts to improve school meals). WKYT
- ➤ Kentucky legislators restored full state funding for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, ensuring more than 138,000 children receive a free book each month across all 120 counties.
