- ➤ Lawmakers passed eight bills with emergency clauses that are in effect immediately — they bypassed the usual 90-day waiting period. The measures limit the governor’s regulatory power, adjust Medicaid oversight and emissions fees, change conversion therapy rules, alter wildlife appointments, set new guidelines for artificial intelligence, allow revenue sharing for college athletes and provide school attendance relief — shaping state policy amid ongoing funding debates.
