- ➤ The Frankfort Chapter of the DAR will plant a Liberty Tree at Carter House in Lakeview Park on Friday, April 24 at 9 a.m. The ceremony with local dignitaries is part of a state-wide project celebrating 250 years of American history by planting tulip poplars across all counties. - ➤ Jason’s Box, a nonprofit in Paris, won a Land Rover Defender 130 + $30,000 for a national veteran outreach award after receiving over 35,000 votes. The reward will support its outdoor therapy programs for injured veterans. WKYT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Nedo Soccer Club, a nonprofit soccer group (led by coach Audra Ewing), is hosting a spring break camp for third- to fifth-graders in the area to boost soccer skills while breaking down social and economic barriers. WKYT
