- ➤ A few miles from the worst flood damage in Frankfort, a team of GLOW Project volunteers is preparing for a drive tomorrow to collect cleaning supplies, diapers, formula, toiletries and clothing for affected neighbors. Project leader Heather Mammen—a flood victim whose house is eight feet underwater and who started the project in memory of her daughter—is also inviting locals to volunteer time and offer monetary support to lower health risks. - ➤ Funeral services for 9-year-old Gabriel Andrews are being held today at 1:00 p.m. at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home — his burial will follow in Pikeville after he was swept away by floodwaters on April 4, just three days after turning nine. WTVQ
- ➤ Frankfort officials announced funeral plans for 9-year-old Gabriel Andrews, whose body was found after he was swept away by floodwaters on April 4 while walking to his bus stop — his service is being held today at 1 p.m. at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home chapel — with burial to follow at Burnett Family Cemetery. - ➤ A jail employee — Ladonis Mayfield, 31, from Taylorsville — was arrested Monday at the Shelby County Detention Center after allegedly engaging in inappropriate sexual advances with a female inmate following a complaint on April 4 and was charged with two counts of third-degree sodomy. LEX 18
