- ➤ Thai Smile (owned by the Pornputsaranon family) held a free meal giveaway Saturday morning, serving between 500 and 600 meals to hundreds of residents facing tough times. The three brothers will host additional giveaways for birthdays later this year. WKYT
- ➤ Paul Sawyier Public Library (PSPL) offers a week of events from today through Friday, including a 2 p.m. jazz reflection on poetry, marshmallow painting for kids on Monday, teen flower arrangements on Tuesday, and other programs for adults and youth. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ After Artemis II touched down Friday evening near San Diego, the University of Kentucky aerospace team improved the heat shield to help NASA return astronauts safely and used a micro-CT scan on parts with issues from Artemis I + held a campus watch party to mark their contribution. WTVQ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Nearly 150 athletes competed at Great Crossing High School in Georgetown this weekend at the Special Olympics Kentucky Area Meet, marking the start of the regional track season as competitors (from 13 counties) won medals qualifying for the State Summer Games on June 5-7 at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
