A Frankfort church hosted a free pancake breakfast Easter morning for flood survivors and volunteers helping with cleanup, offering warm meals, food for later and Easter baskets.
The event also supported first responders and neighbors who lost homes during the recent floods.
The American Red Cross Disaster Resource Centers are opening today in Jessamine County at the High Bridge Community Center (9 a.m.-4 p.m. until Friday) in Wilmore and in Woodford County at the Woodford Senior Center (10 a.m.-6 p.m. until Friday) in Versailles to help survivors of severe storms and flooding earlier this month. Additional centers will open in more counties over the next few days as damage assessments continue.
