- ➤ Three lost hikers from Menifee County were guided to safety Saturday night by Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team, which sent a locator link and remote instructions directing them along Osborne Bend Trail to Highway 746 where a deputy met them after 1.93 miles. LEX 18
- ➤ The Woodford Humane Society reports that economic challenges and a housing crisis are causing more pet surrenders and longer shelter stays. It hosted a 50 percent off adoption event this weekend (with some animals, like Rum, still waiting for permanent homes). WKYT
- ➤ First Baptist Church in Paris welcomed L. Rodney Bennett as its 13th pastor on Sunday. Bennett — a Frankfort resident with a background in education — shared his vision of uniting the congregation while members expressed their approval. LEX 18
