Church Women United of Franklin County will celebrate Friendship Day on May 15 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension at 311 Washington St with the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. featuring author Elly Gilbert, followed by lunch & two offerings.

Franklin County is hosting the Region 7 boys volleyball tournament Monday through Friday — matches begin Monday in both the main and auxiliary gyms and semifinals are held Wednesday.
