- ➤ The second annual Simon House Bourbon Ball Gala will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Ashbrook Hotel (300 Washington St) where guests will enjoy bourbon tastings, live music, silent auctions, and complimentary cocktails that benefit Simon House services. The State Journal
- ➤ At Morning Pointe Assisted Living, volunteers Gayla Stangle, Kaye Martin, and Sharon Sudduth lead Bible studies and hymn sessions for residents during National Volunteer Week from April 19 to 25. - ➤ The Capital City Museum will host Downtown Summer Slam featuring Miss Elizabeth on Friday, May 15, at 6 p.m. The event offers stickers from businesses, live music by Sorry Atari on St Clair and 9 p.m. drive-in screening to honor Miss Elizabeth, a Frankfort native with an 80s wrestling legacy.
