ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ GasBuddy data show that gasoline prices rose by 38.2 cents last week and now average $4.42 per gallon nationwide, while Kentucky gas was priced at $4.25 on Monday morning. Supply issues and refinery outages keep prices volatile, and early improvement may ease pressure soon. Kentucky Today
- ➤ KYSTATS, part of the education and labor cabinet, reported that from February 2025 to February 2026 unemployment rates fell in 119 counties while Wolfe County remained unchanged. Woodford County recorded the lowest rate at 3.3% and Wolfe County the highest at 11.1%. The State Journal

Beshear said the first four months of 2026 set a record with over $7 billion in investments, including a $2 billion project in Hardin County by Ford — a $7.3 million operation by Toothsure in Perry County and a $6.8 million expansion by Global Business Solutions in Northern Kentucky.
