CRIME NEWS

  • Bondurant Middle School held a memorial on Wednesday night for 13-year-old Bently Maxwell Fields & 15-year-old Rylan Austin Fields, two brothers killed in a tragic house fire, while authorities continued investigating the first-degree arson charge against their 44-year-old father, Dustin Fields.  WTVQ
  • A Lawrenceburg man pleaded guilty on May 7 to receiving child pornography after investigators found more than 7,400 explicit images and videos in his home and he was sentenced to 151 months in prison—federal law requires him to serve at least 85% of his sentence before release and he will be under U.S. Probation Office supervision for 40 years.  FOX 56

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Real ID enforcement began Wednesday for those flying domestically and visiting military bases in Kentucky—only about 36.6% of residents already have the new ID. The state’s Transportation Cabinet added staff and new service options including online, in-office, and mail-in renewals, and airport officials said temporary paper IDs work at Blue Grass Airport.  FOX 56
