ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A tornado struck London Friday and killed at least 9 people while severe storms claimed 14 lives in Kentucky—officials declared a mass casualty event and opened shelters as they searched for survivors— and Gov. Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency, warning that more fatalities were expected. LINK nky
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky Emergency Management told residents to take photos of storm damage and keep receipts until a disaster declaration lets them apply for FEMA aid—applying too soon will lead to denied claims. The agency added that first responders and the National Guard are ready to help with damage repair. LEX 18
