- ➤ Governor Andy Beshear held a briefing on Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m. — where he updated the public on the impacts of Saturday’s deadly tornado and the state’s response to severe storms — explaining the measures taken after the severe weather. WKYT
- ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear said Kentucky reached record highs for employment, filled jobs and the civilian labor force in April, with 2,009,018 employed, 2,052,400 filled jobs and 2,118,333 workers according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. He added that over 11,700 Kentuckians will soon receive skills training through Bluegrass State Skills Corp+ boosting workforce development. Kentucky Today
- ➤ The state Citizen Foster Care Review Board in Frankfort is asking for volunteers to review cases of children in foster care for dependency, neglect and abuse and to recommend safe placements in 26 counties. Applicants must complete six hours of training via Zoom+self-study sessions and pass background checks before local judges appoint them. Kentucky Today

- ➤ The FDA and CDC are investigating a multistate Salmonella Montevideo outbreak linked to cucumbers from Bedner Growers—26 people have become ill in 15 states including one case in Kentucky, with nine hospitalizations reported.
