- ➤ The Franklin County Fire Department said that although water levels at Elkhorn Creek have dropped, strong and unpredictable currents continue to endanger lives as Michael Looby (25) drowned after tubing on Saturday and a Sunday rescue mission got four of five people safely to shore. FOX 56

- ➤ Today, the SBA announced that low-interest physical disaster loans for repairs from damage due to April's severe weather and historic flooding now have an extended application deadline of July 25—small businesses, nonprofits and homeowners may use the funds to fix or replace damaged property. - ➤ FEMA announced on Monday more than $70 million in aid for Kentucky families hit by three disasters declared this year — with over $46.8 million for February floods helping more than 7,100 households, $22 million for April flooding available until July 25, and $1.3 million for May tornado losses available until July 23. - ➤ Kentucky State Auditor Allison Ball announced today that her office will begin a special audit of Fayette County Public Schools—she is acting on concerns from parents and a recent Attorney General statement that labeled the school board’s plan to raise the occupational licensing tax unlawful.
