- ➤ Four Franklin County residents have been named to Leadership Kentucky Class of 2025 as part of a 52-member group chosen for their leadership potential—this honor promises future opportunities to further develop their civic skills. The State Journal
- ➤ During a short legislative session, lawmakers passed about 140 bills & approved several new Kentucky laws that will take effect Friday & start to change state rules. WKYT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Skylar Davis, a native of Lancaster, founded nonprofit Period Y'all to fight period poverty in central Kentucky by starting free pop-up events at the Garrard County Food Pantry and opening a 24/7 menstrual product pantry near the food bank—serving over 300 families. Her work has reached more than 200 schools and spurred over 40 requests for new pantries, aiming to improve access to essential hygiene products statewide. LEX 18
