Kentucky Foundation for Women and Josephine Sculpture Park are partnering to offer a paid, self-directed residency for emerging feminist social change artists based in Kentucky, awarding $2,000 for a flexible 40-hour commitment over one to eight weeks in 2027.

Applications open July 17 and close Aug. 17.

Gov. Andy Beshear approved more than $6.1 million in state funding on June 25 for site and building projects in five counties, including developments at Cumberland River Industrial Park, Triple Crown Business Park and an access road in Russell County, aimed at spurring job creation and future investments.

KYSTATS reported that Franklin County’s unemployment rate increased from 3.5% in April to 4% in May as rates rose in 95 counties between May 2025 and May 2026.
