Fourth of July fireworks will be set off from Taylor Avenue at dusk for the state’s America250 celebration.
The Kentucky Historical Society and Team Kentucky will present the display after Frankfort's usual organizers deferred to the state event per city communications.

The Frankfort 8U All-Stars softball team won the Little League District 3 championship on June 23 at Cardinal Run Park in Lexington and earned a spot in next month’s state tournament.
The Frankfort 10U All-Stars swept Harrison County last Saturday at Cardinal Run Park in Lexington to win the Little League District 3 softball title.
Led by Coach Brad King, the team won two straight games with strong hitting and dominant pitching and now advances to the state tournament.
