The Capital City Activity Center will host a full week of activities starting Monday with billiards, exercise with Karen, Tai Choga, and a card club, then offering game day, art, prayer, and bridging sessions through Friday’s Free Food event for all ages.

The Paul Sawyier Public Library is hosting a busy week of events starting Monday at 6 p.m. with junk journal workshops (adults, art supplies provided), career help, yoga sessions, foam parties, volunteer projects, and a garden walk for families.

Frankfort Piano Quartet will perform a free concert at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, July 12 at 3 p.m. (donations for the Humane Society are accepted) with a reception to follow.

Friends of Paul Sawyier Public Library awarded scholarships to four local seniors—Brenna Jackson, Aubri Robinson, Lindsay Payton, and Amelia Wilkerson—for academic and community service achievements.

Jackson will attend the University of Kentucky while the others plan to continue their studies, reinforcing the library’s role in supporting local education.

At Saturday's Great Buffalo Chase 2.5K at Buffalo Trace Distillery, Lexington’s Reeve Vandemark won the men's race in a photo finish while three Frankfort runners swept the women's podium (winners received $500, $250, and $100 gift cards) as proceeds benefitted VFW Post 4075.
