Attorney General Russell Coleman filed a lawsuit at Woodford Circuit Court against Temu—a Chinese online shopping platform—alleging it unlawfully collected customer data, violated privacy by sharing information with the Chinese government, and counterfeited iconic Kentucky brands while reportedly using forced labor.
The Senate passed a $9 billion rescissions package in a 51-48 vote that risks KET funding by cutting about $4.2 million, equal to 14% of its budget, if the bill passes the House vote today—KET officials warn that the cut may force difficult decisions for two million Kentuckians including teachers and emergency responders.
