Kentucky Fish and Wildlife will host a statewide Hunter Education Day on Aug.2 with 20 in-person classes and live-fire range days to help new hunters prepare for fall hunting season.

The free courses are for participants aged 9 and up (registration is required) and cover topics like firearm safety and wildlife conservation.

Kentucky lottery officials said a $50,000 winning ticket sold online with winning numbers 2, 18, 19, 25, 35 and Powerball 25 remains unclaimed and that the prize must be claimed within 180 days at the lottery headquarters in Louisville—winner instructions were sent by email.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams is urging local hotels, liquor stores and transport hubs to join the free Kentucky Businesses Against Trafficking program, which provides training and tools to detect and report signs of human trafficking — a move designed to help workers identify potential victims.
