On Friday, a two-vehicle collision on Cumberland Parkway near the Adair—Russell County line injured eight people when a Dodge Ram collided with a Chevy HHR, and all the injured were taken to local hospitals.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help after 16-year-old Jeremiah Cole, who was found safe following a July 28 report, was reported missing again after he was last seen on August 1 near Preston Way—officials urge anyone with information to come forward.

FEMA says that churches and private nonprofits damaged by the April floods and May tornadoes may be eligible for benefits for debris removal, emergency work and facility repair—affected groups must submit a Request for Public Assistance by Aug.
