Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman called for an immediate ban on Designer Xanax — a potent street drug linked to dozens of overdose deaths — and has urged state health officials and federal agencies to schedule it for removal.

On August 6th, Gov. Andy Beshear said Kentucky joined 19 other states and the District of Columbia—challenging a federal move to freeze funds for EV charging station projects.

The lawsuit claims nearly $69.5 million was committed to the state with over $32 million now blocked for approved projects.

Gov. Beshear announced on August 6 that the Disaster Unemployment Assistance registration for those impacted by the May storms is extended to August 22—this helps eligible workers and self-employed individuals apply for up to 27 weeks of benefits if they lost work due to the severe weather.
