- ➤ Authorities reported that a man's body was recovered from a small lagoon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday—he was identified as 50-year-old Dwayne Chadwell from Frankfort and an autopsy on Aug. 5 did not determine a cause of death, prompting an ongoing investigation. LEX 18

- ➤ Governor Beshear said General Matter and the American Uranium Enrichment Company will invest $1.5 billion to build a uranium enrichment facility in Paducah, which is expected to create 140 full-time jobs — the project will next secure permits and licenses after the DOE signed a lease for the former diffusion plant site.
