Residents in Hancock County met at a PSC meeting in July to voice concerns about a data center project in Hawesville that they fear will raise electricity bills & impact affordability.
Gov. Beshear signed an order on Aug. 6 requiring the project to cover its own power costs for rate protection.
🏥 Health
Kentucky Blood Center is facing a critical shortage as donations decline and hospital transfusions spiked by 40%.
The center urges local donors, especially those with O positive or O negative blood, to donate at eight donor sites + 20 mobile drives this week.
Frankfort Regional Medical Center held a ribbon cutting on Friday morning for Capital Gastroenterology at 279 King’s Daughters Drive, Suite 308.
The new clinic expands access to digestive healthcare for local residents and nearby communities.
