On August 29, Officer MJ Byrd of Frankfort Police tracked two unsupervised children who wandered from a grandparent’s yard to East Frankfort Park after a panicked call, and his quick action returned them safely before a speeding car raised concern.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams announced—at a press event—that Bluegrass Middle School student Alyson Marinich from Hardin County won the 2025 'I Voted' Sticker Contest after nearly 4,000 Kentuckians voted at the state fair from August 14-24.
