- ➤ Frankfort Cemetery was voted one of the country’s best hidden gem cemeteries in a survey of 3,007 voters by Choice Mutual, making it one of only three in Kentucky. The cemetery is known for its hilltop setting—marked by historic gravestones including those of Daniel and Rebecca Boone—and offers sweeping views over the Kentucky River. The State Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Dark Sky Frankfort and partners urge residents and business owners to turn off or dim non-essential lighting to help protect migrating birds from collisions. The Lights Out campaign recommends setting lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. during migration periods — a measure that also saves energy. The State Journal
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Kentucky Wildcats beat Eastern Michigan 48—23 to improve to a 2—1 record, with Cutter Boley replacing injured Zach Calzada and passing for 240 yards while Seth McGowan ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns.
