  • GOP lawmakers urged Gov. Beshear to reallocate funds or call a special session to support Kentucky's senior meal program as a $300-million shortfall has reduced the number of meals available. They warned that without extra funds, seniors may face fewer meal deliveries—putting the well-being of older adults at risk.  Louisville Public Media
  • Gov. Andy Beshear’s Oct. 9 update in Frankfort outlined plans for an international trade delegation next week to boost jobs, expanded Pre-K access supported by town halls, new rental units for flood survivors in Eastern Kentucky, an FBI probe into threats against Kentucky Parole Board members, and a state parks app—while Georgetown-Scott County Parks was honored as a Team Kentucky All-Star.  92.7 The Wave

  • Kentucky officials pressed Governor Beshear last Tuesday to resume executions for death row inmate Ralph Baze, convicted in 1992 of killing two Powell County law enforcement officers—prompting community leaders to demand closure.
