- ➤ Octoberfest will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 in the 300 block of East Third Street—featuring art, food, antiques—and novelties. The State Journal
- ➤ The Capital City Activity Center will host a week of activities from Monday, Oct 13th through Friday, Oct 17th, featuring daily billiards from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Bingo with Carla on Monday and Friday at 10 a.m., Tai Chi for Arthritis sessions at 1 p.m., and other classes like chair volleyball, knitting, and technology 101. Participants can register by calling the Franklin County Extension Office or signing up with event leaders — the program aims to keep everyone active and engaged throughout the week. - ➤ The Lovin’ Spoonful will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the Grand Theatre in downtown Frankfort — a historic venue that was restored after a $5 million renovation.
