- ➤ Simon House will host a free meet-and-greet event called 'Donuts With The Director' – with coffee, donuts and shelter tours – on Friday, Oct. 24 from 9–11 a.m. at 208 W. Campbell St. to celebrate 40 years of service, and attendees will have a chance to meet executive director Tasha R. Gray and win door prizes. The State Journal
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky Dance Academy announced a Bourbon Tango class starting Oct 17 with sessions on Oct 17, Oct 24, Nov 7, Nov 14, Nov 21, and Dec 5 at 5:30 p.m. at its location (316 Wapping St.). The six-week course costs $120 for an individual and $220 for a couple and welcomes anyone with curiosity regardless of dance experience. The State Journal
- ➤ Woodford County Library hosted its fourth annual All Things Kentucky event in Versailles where residents enjoyed Kentucky desserts, bluegrass music and a Loretta Lynn impersonator who brought a local touch. The library raised funds with a silent auction that will continue until Nov 23—supporting future programs. LEX 18

- ➤ Pink Sisters supports breast cancer patients in Versailles by offering assistance and guidance — the effort continues to provide essential services for those undergoing treatment. WKYT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Frankfort's Autumn Wardlow, Emily Miklavcic and Emma Johnson were named to the 41st District girls soccer all-tournament team along with Western Hills' Ella Martin and Great Crossing players Bailey Maxwell, Kaylee Tyson, Julia Baker and Kendall Crump—who earned tournament MVP honors—while players from Frankfort Christian Academy and Franklin County were not pictured. - ➤ Frankfort’s girls soccer team scored early and beat The Frankfort Christian Academy 4-1 in the district tournament semifinals, with key goals by Emma Johnson, Autumn Wardlow, and Kaleigh Curry — they later lost 5-0 to Great Crossing in the championship game. The State Journal
- ➤ Frankfort soccer players Kaleb Tracy, Phillip Kittrell and Stephane Bebe made the 41st District all-tournament team, with Bebe earning tournament MVP honors — the team also includes players from Western Hills, Franklin County and Great Crossing. The State Journal
