- ➤ The YMCA of Central Kentucky will host the Black Cat Chase 3K at 7 p.m. Friday in downtown Frankfort—registration is still open—and costumed runners are expected to join in the Halloween celebration. The State Journal
- ➤ Franklin County Health Department’s Just Say Yes Coalition is helping local sixth through eighth graders get a $300 Yes Card to cover afterschool program costs, a contrast to the expensive and inaccessible programs reported by a new survey. - ➤ Frankfort High won both boys and girls team titles at the county cross country championships last week at the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives over a 3,000 meter race.
