- ➤ If the government shutdown continues, the USDA will stop issuing SNAP benefits on Saturday, leaving nearly 600,000 Kentuckians at risk. Local churches and ministries are sending food donations including pasta and canned goods to help 50 families in Owsley County—heightening concerns noted by school resource directors. Kentucky Today

- ➤ Adalhi Aranda and Charlotte Kaye lead Bluegrass Youth Ballet in a production titled Día de los Muertos—A Celebration of Life and Death that uses dance to honor life and death with clear emotion and tradition. WKYT
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife announced new rules for drone use that went into effect earlier this month – the rules forbid using drones to fish, hunt or harass wildlife and violators may be fined up to $1,000 or face revoked privileges. WKYT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has rescheduled lane closures on Interstate 64 East and West in Franklin County to Tuesday, Nov. 18 (due to inclement weather). Consultant engineers will inspect the I-64 bridges over KY 420 (Old Lawrenceburg Road) near mile point 53.77 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and motorists are advised to heed signage when passing through the work zone. - ➤ The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that the left lane on I-64 West at mile 49.145 near South Benson Creek in Franklin County will be closed from midnight on Sunday to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov 4 for bridge deck patching work — motorists are advised to expect delays and plan extra travel time.
