- ➤ At Fit for Life 24/7 Gym in west Frankfort, seniors known as the Old Geezers meet early for exercise and build strong bonds—welcoming all men and women aged 65 and older. The group, which includes veterans, supports each other with daily workouts and encouragement. The State Journal

- ➤ A local Christmas tree farm in Central Kentucky has sold over 600 trees since September and offers 1,000 trees for purchase this holiday season. Owner Thomas Neiman said the farm kept prices unchanged — despite rising fuel, fertilizer and labor costs — to ensure families find the perfect tree. WKYT
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky secured the SEC regular season championship for the ninth straight year by beating Arkansas 3 to 0 on Sunday afternoon and finishing with a 22 to 2 overall record and a perfect 19 to 0 conference record. The Wildcats honored senior Eva Hudson in her final match at Historic Memorial Coliseum (she had 15 kills) and will now head to Savannah for the SEC Tournament. WTVQ
- ➤ Franklin County’s Bowling was named first team all-state by the State-Journal on November 16th—an honor that marks a milestone in his athletic performance. The State Journal
- ➤ American University freshman Sophie Dufour, a Franklin County native, earned her record seventh Patriot League Rookie of the Week award last weekend after her team won the regular-season title by beating Loyola and Navy—she averaged 4.67 kills per set and tallied 17 kills against Navy. - ➤ Franklin County's football team overcame a 20—14 halftime deficit to beat Valley 48—20 at Benny Watkins Field. The Flyers will host North Oldham on Friday in the regional championship game as they seek their sixth straight region title. The State Journal
