- ➤ The Kentucky Blood Center kicked off its 38th annual Big Blue Crush Blood Drive on Monday, Nov. 17, and the drive will continue through the week to help local hospitals meet blood supply needs—donors are encouraged to take part. WKYT

- ➤ AAA expects over 1 million Kentuckians to travel by vehicle from Nov 25 to Dec 1 and urges drivers to check their vehicles and plan ahead—officials advise air travelers to arrive early due to expected crowding at airports. WTVQ
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky State ended its season with a 9 to 2 record after beating Shorter 35 to 7 at Alumni Stadium, tying the best mark in school history (its best season since 1935). The team got an at-large bid to the NCAA DII football championships and will play Newberry, the No. 3 seed, on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Newberry, South Carolina (Newberry holds a 9 to 1 record).
