- ➤ Walmart locations across central Kentucky are gearing up for Black Friday by offering rollback prices on many items at $20 or less—helping customers get extra value on toys, electronics, and more. Walmart Plus members will gain early access to deals starting Tuesday—giving shoppers time to plan their purchases amid inflation concerns. LEX 18
- ➤ Gov Beshear announced that Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky will spend $204.4 million (investment announced) at its Georgetown plant to add 82 jobs and install a new line for hybrid engine parts that will begin in 2027. The investment is part of a larger plan to add 252 jobs across several plants (the plant now employs nearly 10,000 workers) and help meet growing hybrid demand. Kentucky Today

- ➤ Sophie Dufour, a freshman from Franklin County, was named Patriot League Rookie of the Year last Friday after she ranked second in kills and points per set and tied the record with eight Rookie of the Week honors. American University’s Eagles ended the regular season 15–1 and entered the Patriot League semifinals against Navy — the team had a 15-match winning streak that added to its strong season performance — as they built on their recent success.
