- ➤ Frankfort’s Emergency Community Food Pantry will hold its largest food drive of the year, 'Cram the Cruiser,' on Dec. 5, 6, and 7—each day led by a different law enforcement agency. Volunteers will collect food and money donations at two Kroger stores between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to support local families in need. The State Journal
- ➤ On Thanksgiving morning, hundreds took part in the 30th annual Walk of Awareness in South Frankfort, the largest fundraiser for ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men’s Shelter, which began at VFW Post 4075, passed the Capitol, and ended at the facility on West Second Street — an event that serves nearly 21,000 meals a year and provides overnight shelter to up to 16 men. - ➤ Kentucky State Police is running its annual Trooper Teddy Black Friday sale today through Tuesday with the bears priced at $20 each; each purchase funds the Trooper Teddy Project to help children facing traumatic events (severe illness, abuse, and critical incidents). The State Journal
