- ➤ The Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs is reminding students of key upcoming deadlines as it will hold a virtual media session on Dec. 1 to discuss the Collegiate Pitch competition—college students must file an Intent to Compete by Dec. 5 and high school students have until Jan. 16 to apply for the Summer Startup camp scheduled from Jun. 20 to Jul. 12; Anne Jewell will lead a 90-minute drop-in Zoom session on Feb. 28 at SparkHaus in Covington from 1:30 to 3 p.m. to address questions about the competition. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Kentucky State Police are hosting the annual Trooper Teddy Black Friday sale, which began Nov. 27 and runs until Dec. 2, to fund the Trooper Teddy Project that helps children facing trauma. Bears are sold for $20 online or at local posts, and each purchase supports the initiative—launched in 1989—with funds going toward more bears. Kentucky Today
