- ➤ The Western Hills academic team won the annual Commonwealth Academic League tournament at Great Crossing High School on Thursday. The win extended their fall season streak to 8-0 with a 10-point lead in testing rounds over Scott County. The State Journal

- ➤ Kentucky basketball beat Central Michigan 82-55 on Sunday, with five players scoring in double figures and Teonni Key logging 17 points and 11 rebounds. The team will have a week off before traveling to Nashville for a game against Belmont on Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. WTVQ
