  • Capital City Activity Center hosts programs from Monday, Dec. 29 to Friday, Jan. 2, featuring billiards and exercise on Monday, game and class events on Tuesday, and a drive-through food giveaway on Friday; it will be closed on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day (no meals provided).  The State Journal

  • Gov. Andy Beshear said 2025 was Kentucky’s second-best year for private sector investments with $10.5 billion in projects and 185 location announcements, including major investments by Apple + Ford that are expected to create nearly 9,600 new jobs and push wages to a record $29.58 per hour.  Kentucky Today

  • Franklin County High School sophomore Gage Click was named WesBanco Student of the Week for leading the FFA chapter (and excelling on the archery team). FCHS agriculture teacher Erica Baxter highlighted his balanced commitment to academics and community service.  The State Journal
