- ➤ Gov. Andy Beshear honored the service of 1st Lt. Joe A. De Jarnette—a U.S. Army Air Force pilot from northern Kentucky killed in action during World War II—whose remains were identified and will be interred in Erlanger next month. - ➤ The state capitol lawn now features 3,000 pinwheels to mark Child Abuse Prevention Month after Governor Beshear signed a proclamation early—each pin represents 17 children born last year.
