Muslim families celebrated the opening of a new Islamic Center at 160 Flynn Ave on May 19.

The 8,500 sqft center hosted an open house with interfaith leaders and local officials who praised its role in fostering unity in our community.

Franklin County saw its unemployment rate drop to 3.5% between April 2025 and April 2026, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics.

Kentucky State University closed its main campus today after law enforcement advised immediate evacuation due to a potential threat to campus safety.
