  • Buffalo Trace Distillery resumed its regular tours, tastings, and gift shop visits after historic floods in April damaged its 100 historic buildings — including 3 feet of water in the visitors center. The distillery is renovating a former club house to create a new cafe that will open in 2026.  LEX 18

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Senator Max Wise updated lawmakers on key issues during the 2025 Interim Session, noting an investigation into driver licensing fraud led by Attorney General Russell Coleman and State Auditor Allison Ball—steps meant to restore trust in state services. He also explained that major investments from companies like Apple, Ford, GE and General Matter will boost Kentucky’s economy while legislators review artificial intelligence and contract measures to improve safety and innovation.  92.7 The Wave
  • Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman joined a bipartisan coalition of 37 state attorneys general in a letter urging Instagram to strengthen its location privacy settings to protect vulnerable users—especially children and domestic abuse survivors—from predators who could misuse the new map feature. The letter asks Instagram to block location sharing for minors and to provide an easy option to disable the feature.  Kentucky Today
